Vinventions announces a major update to the Enology Portal, the web platform associated with WQS decision-making tools. Leveraging an advanced analytics interface and a database of over 130,000 anonymized measurements, the platform now enables users to transform their own raw data into strategic and operational insights.

Deployed alongside Polyscan, Nomasense O₂ and Color, the Enology Portal no longer simply centralizes data. This update turns the storage space into a true dynamic analytics tool. Where previously results had to be exported to Excel for analysis, the platform now provides a clear, structured and immediately actionable overview for decision-makers.

Data science and oenological expertise serving users

At the core of this evolution lies the unique know-how of the WQS team, combining oenological expertise with data analytics. They have developed visualization models tailored to real-world winery conditions to enable immediate interpretation.

The Enology Portal, on the other hand, enables anticipation—it allows deviations to be detected well before they become critical. It is also a performance driver, enabling ultra-precise process control, securing decisions while optimizing the use of oenological inputs, ultimately generating tangible cost savings.

Concrete applications to secure every stage

The Enology Portal now offers expert functionalities for each phase of production:

  • Harvest planning: The platform consolidates maturity monitoring data (Polyscan) to provide a clear vineyard block overview and allows one-click export of harvest dates aligned with targeted aromatic profiles, facilitating harvest organization.
  • Polyphenol management: Users can benchmark their current vintage against historical data. Real-time monitoring during settling (débourbage) enables rapid detection of any deviation and precise adjustment of fining rates to secure the desired wine profile.
  • Oxygen management: Users can now instantly access bottling performance, compare results across packaging formats, and generate reports highlighting achieved quality levels.

A unique statistical power

In addition to their own historical data, users can position their results against overall market trends through a robust database comprising 56,000 Nomasense O₂ measurements and 73,600 Polyscan measurements. This broader perspective enhances individual interpretation and strengthens the robustness of technical decisions.

Beyond analytics, the Enology Portal is becoming an exclusive resource hub. Professionals can access expert protocols, application notes and strategic reports designed to address practical winery challenges.

improve responsiveness, and structure the monitoring of their practices.

From now on, the Enology Portal goes beyond centralizing data from WQS decision-support tools. It facilitates analysis, reveals trends, and becomes a true driver of continuous improvement in service of wine quality.

About WQS Decision-Making Tools

WQS tools are field analysers designed to help winemakers manage wine profile and longevity at every stage, from harvest through to bottling.

  • Polyscan: Connected polyphenol management tool. Defines the optimal harvest date, guides pre-fermentation treatments and ageing strategies, and displays expert rules on screen. (73,600 measurements in the reference database)
  • Nomasense O₂: Benchmark analyser for oxygen management at all stages of winemaking. The only TPO meter with automatic real-time TPO calculation during bottling or bag-in-box (BIB) filling. (56,000 measurements in the reference database)
  • Color: Connected colorimeter for colour management, particularly for rosé wines. Measurements based on the CIELCh system to achieve target colour and facilitate blending. Can be paired with Polyscan for combined colour and polyphenol management.

Data generated by these three analysers are centralized and leveraged within the Enology Portal.
