NOMACORC Blue Line: 4th Net Zero Plastic to Nature Certification

21 Jul 2026

For the fourth consecutive year, the NOMACORC Blue Line range has earned the Net Zero Plastic to Nature certification from South Pole. Here is what it means in practice and how it is achieved.

What is the Net Zero Plastic to Nature certification?

The Net Zero Plastic to Nature certification ensures that the quantity of plastic likely to reach the environment as a result of our activity is brought to zero, through concrete actions verified by an independent third party.
It is an annual plastic balance that must satisfy one equation: plastic placed on the market = plastic collected and treated through certified actions.

How the method works, in 4 steps

1. Measure the footprint

Each year, South Pole calculates the total plastic footprint of the Blue Line range, closures and packaging included. In 2025, this footprint amounts to 208 tonnes. Of those, 174 tonnes (83.6%) are managed by existing infrastructure in our sales markets. That leaves 34 tonnes identified as potentially mismanaged. Every action we take targets these 34 tonnes.

2.Act internally
Two internal levers reduce this residual. First, all NOMACORC Blue Line closures contain 50% recycled content, certified and verifiable. Second, in partnership with associations such as France Cancer and Agir Cancer Gironde, as well as Maison Nicolas and Les Vignerons Engagés, we organise the collection of used closures in France: the closures are recycled and the funds raised support cancer research. In 2025: 70 tonnes collected, addressing 5 tonnes of the mismanaged waste flow.

3.  Act beyond our value chain

The residual 29 tonnes are addressed through Second Life, a social enterprise and the world’s first project certified under the Verra Plastic Waste Reduction Standard. Second Life collects and recycles plastic waste on the coastlines of Southeast Asia, where the need is most critical. In 2025, Vinventions financed the collection of 29 tonnes in Thailand. Since 2023, a total of 135 tonnes have been collected thanks to our support.

4. Certify through an independent third party

The entire process is certified each year by South Pole. The certification is valid for one year and renewed on the basis of the previous year’s data. This is not a label purchased once, it is an annual discipline.

Why this label is different

What this means for our customers: choosing NOMACORC Blue Line means being able to rely on verified impact data, renewed each year, to support their own environmental reporting and sustainability commitments.
