Vinventions is proud to unveil its 12th Corporate Social Responsibility Report, which reaffirms the company’s enduring mission: to deliver the most sustainable and high-performance closure solutions to its customers, while creating positive impact for people, communities, and the planet.
A milestone year
2024 marks not only the release of this new report, but also Vinventions’ 25th anniversary. Since its creation in 1999 with the launch of NOMACORC, the company has been a driving force in sustainable innovation within the wine, spirits, and olive oil packaging industry.
We scale sustainable innovation with measurable impact, driving performance while cutting environmental load. This anniversary reasserts our intent to lead systemic change in wine industry practices, from advancing low-carbon closures to expanding our cork collection and recycling programs across key markets.
Key achievements in 2024
The report presents a comprehensive overview of Vinventions’ environmental and social performance across all its major production sites, including two new additions this year, Pozzolo (Italy) and Rosarito (Mexico):
- 553 employees worldwide (+2%)
- 10 years average length of service
- 30% women in the total workforce
- 46% women in white-collar roles (up from 41% in 2023)
- 67% of electricity from sustainable sources
- 0.8 ml/closure water consumption (down from 1.2 ml in 2023)
- 95% of production scraps offered for recycling
- 105 tons of closures collected
- 337 tons of CO₂ sequestered via NOMACORC Green Line
- 9,608 kg of ocean-bound plastic collected through NOMACORC Ocean
The continued development of NOMACORC Pops, the first net zero carbon footprint closure for sparkling wines, and the renewed Net Zero Plastic to Nature certificationfor the Blue Line, underscore Vinventions’ long-term commitment to circular economy principles and responsible material sourcing.
A collective effort
“This report is the fruit of collaboration across all our sites and departments,” adds Romain Thomas. “It reflects years of dedication, progress, and shared purpose. From reducing energy and water use to empowering our teams and expanding social impact through closure recycling programs, we’re proud to make our progress visible and measurable.”
Vinventions also highlights its growing partnerships with NGOs and customers to scale post-consumer recycling, particularly in collaboration with France Cancer, Agir Cancer Gironde, Vignerons Engagés and Second Life.
