At Vinventions, sustainability is built on measured, verified, and certified results — not on mere intentions. With NOMACORC, through three distinct closure solutions, we provide our clients with concrete levers to contribute to climate change mitigation, plastic circularity, and the protection of marine ecosystems, without compromising the oenological performance of our closures.

The NOMACORC Green Line range is manufactured from plant-based renewable raw materials derived from sugarcane. Based on a full life cycle assessment, it achieves a net zero carbon footprint in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14067.

  • Certified impact: In 2025, the collective use of the Nomacorc Green Line range by our customers enabled the net sequestration of 308 tonnes of CO₂, based on verified calculations.
  • Robust methodology: The “cradle-to-grave” carbon footprint is calculated in accordance with ISO 14067:2018, reviewed by RDC Environment and certified by South Pole, a leading international climate organization.
  • Traceability and reporting value: A personalized certificate is issued to each customer, confirming the quantity of CO₂ sequestered in relation to the volumes of closures purchased, enabling transparent integration into CSR reporting.

that combine optimal wine preservation with the reduction of your carbon emissions. I am pleased to announce that, collectively, your choice of NOMACORC Green Line has enabled a measurable and certified contribution to climate change mitigation.

Nomacorc Blue Line: A Certified Approach to Plastic Stewardship

The Nomacorc Blue Line range is part of a structured and verifiable circularity approach. For the fourth consecutive year, it has been certified “Net Zero Plastic to Nature” (NZPN) by South Pole.

  • Net Zero Plastic To Nature principle: This certification guarantees that for every tonne of plastic placed on the market, an equivalent quantity of plastic waste is collected and managed responsibly. In 2025, this represented the management of 208 tonnes of plastic.
  • Integration of recycled content: Nomacorc Blue Line closures contain 50% recycled plastic, based on a mass balance approach aligned with industry standards.
  • Private collection initiative: In 2025, Vinventions collected 70 tonnes of used closures from partners in France. This initiative directly contributes to the compensation of 5 tonnes of plastic originating from mismanaged waste streams.
  • Verified social impact: Through the social organization Second Life, Vinventions finances the collection and effective recycling of plastic waste in high-risk areas (Indonesia, Thailand), supporting more than 1,400 waste collectors — 52% of whom are women — under structured working conditions.

Nomacorc Ocean: Recovering Plastics at Risk of Marine Pollution

The Nomacorc Ocean solution incorporates Ocean-Bound Plastics (OBP), collected before they can reach the marine environment.

  • Targeted collection: OBP are collected within a 50 km radius of coastlines, in areas lacking effective waste management infrastructure.
  • Measured results: In 2025, the commitment of Vinventions’ customers enabled the collection of 10,544 kg of OBP, contributing to reducing the risk of marine pollution.
  • Ethical safeguards: Collection operations are carried out by organizations certified under Zero Plastic Oceans standards, ensuring decent working conditions and fair compensation.

Certificates to Document Customer Commitment

To formalize these contributions, Vinventions provides its customers with official certificates, co-signed by its independent partners (South Pole, RDC Environment). Depending on the solutions used, these documents specify:

  • the quantity of CO₂ sequestered,
  • the mass of plastic waste collected (OBP or under the NZPN program).

These certificates enable our customers to communicate in a factual, transparent, and verifiable manner about their environmental contribution.

These results are, above all, the reflection of a collective commitment. We extend our sincere thanks to all our customers who, through their closure choices, actively contribute to reducing carbon emissions and combating plastic pollution.
