Despite a challenging market environment—marked by declining demand, increased competition, pricing pressures, and slow inventory turnover in the wine and spirits industry – Vinventions has demonstrated resilience, sustaining commercial momentum throughout 2024. In its 25th anniversary year, the company reinforced its commitment to supporting its customers with high-quality, innovative, and sustainable closure solutions tailored to their evolving needs.

RISING DEMAND FOR SYNTHETIC AND MICRO-NATURAL CLOSURES

Vinventions closed 2024 with 3 billion closures sold across wine, spirits, and olive oil, reaffirming its ability to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions even in a complex economic landscape.

Demand for NOMACORC synthetic closures saw significant growth, with an additional 45 million units sold compared to the previous year, driven by growing demand for cost-effective and consistent closure solutions. Despite a declining wine market, impacted by both lower consumption and reduced production, this growth signals a notable market share gain for Nomacorc closures.

Meanwhile, the SÜBR micro-natural closures, recognized for their sustainability and high-performance profile, maintained their strong momentum, recording 50% volume growth for the second consecutive year. In France, sales surged by 62%, with 45% of new customers adopting the solution, confirming its growing appeal among premium producers.

SCREW CAPS: OVERALL MARKET DECLINE, BUT STRATEGIC SUCCESSES

While the global market for screw caps experienced a notable volume decline in 2024, Vinventions demonstrated resilience, particularly in Eastern Europe and Italy. In Eastern Europe, revenue grew by 16%, showing double-digit growth, while the Italian market recorded 26 million additional units sold, confirming the company’s ability to outperform in strategic regions.

INNOVATION AT THE SERVICE OF WINEMAKERS

Innovation remained a driving force for Vinventions in 2024, with new solutions designed to help producers enhance sustainability and performance. Among them, Nomacorc Ocean, made with recycled Ocean-Bound Plastics (OBP), was quickly embraced by 35 new customers, helping wineries strengthen their environmental commitments while differentiating their brands.
Another key milestone was the launch of NOMACORC Pops, a closure specifically designed for the expanding sparkling wine segment, allowing Vinventions to further diversify its offering.
